About the Author

I am an American woman in her mid-thirties with a STEM background. I have never taken a course in film studies, film appreciation, or anything of the sort. Until a few years ago, I had never seen some of the most highly rated movies of all time. My journey began with the American Film Institute’s top 100 films. It was quite an expedition. At its onset I had only seen 23/100. I feel like I grew from that experience and think that it is one of the easier movie lists to tackle, if you are interested.

I decided to start this blog to share my experiences in the hopes of sharing great movies with people who wouldn’t have considered watching them. I also hope to prevent people from wasting their time with all varieties of bad movies (boring, too niche, to violent, too dated, etc. I think I can accomplish this goal by keeping my reviews light and brief. The first 4-5 lines will explain a little about how I felt about each movie. If you hit “Keep Reading” you will encounter 1-3 paragraphs that further explain my opinions.

This section probably contains more words than my actual posts.
